Is BrewForge a good Brewfather alternative?
If you want inventory planning, a cellar with fermenter and keg scheduling, a taplist, a calendar feed and printable brew-day sheets, yes. If you rely on native mobile apps, a brew-day timer, brewing controllers or a non-English interface, Brewfather is currently the better fit.
Can I import my Brewfather data?
Yes. Export everything from Brewfather ("Export All") and upload the JSON file in BrewForge. You choose which batches to import, plus recipes, equipment, mash, fermentation and water profiles and inventory. Ingredients are matched against your inventory and the BrewForge ingredient database.
How much does BrewForge cost compared to Brewfather?
BrewForge Basic is $19.99/year and Pro is $29.99/year. Brewfather Premium is about $29.99/year and Premium Plus about $49.99/year (checked October 2026). Both have a free plan.
I just paid for Brewfather. Do I lose that money?
